Q: How do I set up an account?
A: Setting up a terms account with Rental Express is easy! Download our Credit Application form, fill it out, turn it in, and we'll do the rest! Everyone who visits us can get a COD account setup easily. Please contact us for more details, and check out the Policies page for more info.

Q: Is your rate card pricing negotiable?
A: Our rate card "street pricing" is usually lower than anyone else's for like kind inventory. We negotiate pricing based on length of rental, amount of gear rented, and other parameters. We will not be undersold! If you find a better advertised price on gear than what we're charging, we'll match it!  Please give us a call at 415-255-9883 for our current rates.

Q: What kind of insurance do I need?
A: Similar to renting a car, you have to verify that you already have insurance coverage, or else you can buy insurance coverage from us for more expensive rentals. Less expensive equipment can be secured for loss/damage by a credit card. Our Policies page on this site explains all in detail.

Q: Do you rent complete camera field packages?
A: We rent complete packages, which can be further customized to meet your EFP requirements. We also rent cameras and accessories a la carte, so you get everything you need, and nothing you don't!

Q: Do you rent remote production systems?
A: Fly-aways, flypacks, mobile multicams, TV stations-in-a-box, whatever you want to call them, we rent them! Our engineering staff builds amazingly durable multicamera production packages that have traveled halfway around the world. Some of our systems have been on the road for over ten years! Our newest system is the only HD multicam system available for rent in Northern California, and one of only a handful nationwide! Check out the HD pack and the SD packs.

Q: Do you rent HD upconverters?
A: Up, down, cross converters. We rent them all! Harris / Leitch and Folsom are our best sellers. Check out all of our conversion products.

Q: Can you deliver and set up my gear?
A: We'll deliver to almost anywhere, and are always happy to have a tech set up your gear for you. In some cases, we insist on it, just to make sure that everything interfaces smoothly! Additional charges may apply.

Q: Do you do any post-production work?
A: We rent turnkey Apple Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer NLE systems. Our sister company Dub Express has multiple in-house edit suites, and is a fully-equipped duplication/replication house. Check out their site.

Q: Do you sell tape stock?
A: We can sell tape stock or blank media in most formats.

Q: Do you sell used equipment?
A: We do! The list changes often, so check the Sale Items page frequently!
